Have you been in the prenatal section of a vitamin shop? There are walls of natural supplements for women’s fertility. Some of the most popular products are fertility teas and vitamins. But do you really know what herbs or vitamins you should be looking for? If you are trying to conceive you want products that will improve the function of your reproductive organs and hormones. I am all about trying natural remedies first especially since some prescribed medications tend to cause unfavorable side effects. While doing my home treatment to unblock my fallopian tubes I also took a bunch of vitamins and herbs to improve my chances of conceiving. At times I felt that I was taking 20 pills a day lol. No but really one pill would say take two pills three times a day and another would say take one pill twice a day. The herbs I took could have been consumed in different forms but I chose pills because it was more convenient for me. I have four go to prenatal herbs and vitamins I would recommend for not only women trying to conceive but any woman trying to improve their reproductive health:

Red Clover:

Red Clover Blossom

Red clover blossom can improve women’s estrogen levels because it is rich in estrogen-like compounds. It helps to regulate hormonal levels, purify blood, increase cervical mucus and tones the smooth muscles of the uterus to improve conception. I took the pill form which I purchased from GNC and I used as directed on the bottle.

Red Raspberry Leaf:

This herb is rich in Iron and has been proven to help strengthen and tone the uterine walls and muscles of the pelvic region. This herb is great for preparing your body for pregnancy. The minerals in the herb help strengthen the blood and prepare the uterus for birth. I also took this herb in a pill form that I purchased from GNC but it can also be found in many fertility teas such as Fertile Mama Herbal Tea Blend from the Wisdom of the Womb.

B-12:

Deficiency of this vitamin in a woman’s body can be a major cause for fertility problems or being unable to conceive. For women taking vitamin B12 can help regulate ovulation and improve implantation of the embryo to prevent miscarriage before the fetus begins to grow. Also this vitamin can be beneficial for men looking to improve their fertility. Ladies have your man consider taking it to help increase his sperm count and improve the quality of his sperm. I took mine in a small tablet form that I purchased from Walmart.

 Black Cohosh:

Black Cohosh Plant

Black Cohosh is a root herb that can also help create a strong healthy uterine lining. It helps regulate hormones and induces ovulation for women. It is not safe to use during pregnancy so be mindful when trying to conceive that if you become pregnant stop using immediately. I purchased mine from GNC and took in a pill form as directed on the label.

It’s important to look at your reproductive health in a holistic manner. All of your lady parts depend on one another to work properly and to function at their best to conceive naturally. I highly recommend you to purchase the Fertile Mama Herbal Tea blend from The Wisdom of the Womb as it contains three of the four herbs I discussed in this article. https://wisdomofthewomb.mykajabi.com/a/10130/HCwM8KnN

  1. I take B12 from time to time. I will look into Red Raspberry Leaf for the iron benefit. I suffer from low iron deficiency.

    1. Great I hope it works out for you. I have low iron and had it all through pregnancy I was told I am border line anemic before trying to conceive so I’m sure it helped me.

  3. I actually can’t remember the specific herbs I was taking, however, it was a mix. My acupuncturist also specialized in Chinese herbs so I got them from her. It’s amazing these plants have healing abilities!
